Paying your ATO accounts by Credit Card
The ATO is trialling payment by credit card for all taxation liabilities. Initially, payments between $10 and $10,000 will be accepted.
The ATO will accept the following credit cards:
- Visa;
- Mastercard; and
- American Express.
Taxpayers will require their Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) code to make the payment and will be required to use the Government EasyPay website or telephone service.
The ATO will charge fees on credit card transactions. For Visa and Mastercard payments the fee will be 0.65%. For American Express payments the fee will be 1.25%.
