  • We listen to the outcomes our customer is wanting to achieve.

  • We discuss it with the customer to make sure it's all in order.
  • We agree on the steps that are required to be taken.
  • Then we implement it.

It‘s quite hard to reduce our firm philosophy down to one or two sentences. We haven't spent a lot of time developing a mission statement - we try to abide by a set of core beliefs and business philosophy.

We have a commitment to our clients, we have a commitment to our staff, we do the best we can in all our dealings with people (staff, clients, suppliers, other professionals, etc), we are absolutely committed to honesty, integrity and confidentiality in all our roles and we enjoy working in a fantastic team environment with great people. We also actively “think outside the square” for our clients, take a different path and offer options and alternatives. We want to have a defined career path and career development options for our people and we engage wonderful staff. We also want to enjoy all our dealings with every party we come in to contact with.

We were recently approached by a potential client who was facing a $168,000 tax bill associated with a transaction he was contemplating.  He had been to two other firms to try and get it sorted out.  By listening to the outcomes he was wanting to achieve and considering the various avenues we had to approaching the transaction, we managed to have the transaction effected leaving him with no tax to pay.  Taking the time to think, then implement the plan has given a fantastic result.  He is now a client and fantastic advocate.

One of our major focus areas is on listening to our clients. By finding out exactly what motivates, concerns and is important to them, we can tailor our services and advice to suit their needs. We don‘t have a “recipe book” of responses for particular situations - our clients all have their own particular circumstances which necessitate us closely listening to determine their exact needs and wants. Not really a standard approach - and a major reason why we don‘t have “standard” clients. All the above sounds terrific - we're committed to it and focussed on developing exceptional results for our clients, staff and other stakeholders in our business.

In a client survey that we unertook at the end of 2009, we had a fantastic response from our exisiting clients surrounding the outstanding, professional service we provide them. These are some of the comments made;

There are a lot of accounting firms out there. They can all do your tax at varying levels of expertise and complexity. If you just want your tax done, don‘t call us. If you want to have an accounting business which works with you, not for you, give us a yell.

Oh, one other thing - we‘ve all got a sense of humour.
