Our client base encompasses a large (and growing) number of doctors, specialists, para-medical and complimentary medical professionals (in both private practice and salaried/VMO positions). We have specifically structured services to meet their very specific needs.

As testament to our expertise in this area of business, we have recently been engaged by Television Education Network to prepare and present papers on accounting, taxation and asset protection issues for the medical profession. These papers are used as training tools for accountants and lawyers around Australia.

As discussed in our “Philosophy” section, we don’t just “do” tax. Our approach to medico’s is that we take them on an overview of their current situation, assist them in identifying areas where further refinement may be required (usually this is the area of business structuring), assist them with the implementation of the changes required and provide ongoing support, advice and assistance in their business activities. Some of the areas we cover in this process are way beyond those new clients have previously experienced. It's very much based on the full risk assessment model.

We do not operate a financial planning arm in our business – therefore, we are able to provide independent assessment of our client needs and objectives and are not “hell bent” on getting hold of the investment funds accumulated by many medical practitioners. We do however have an Independent Financial Planning firm to whom we refer clients where they don't have an existing professional relationship in this area. They offer a level of service and advice that is highly complimentary to our services and ensures the client obtains the best result going forward.

As detailed by another one of our specialist clients:

“You guys take a global view and then work towards getting everything fixed so that we can understand what we’re doing in a business sense”.

Some of our most enjoyable and successful projects have actually involved moving the client to a position where they take back all their accounting and BAS work (bet there’s not too many accounting firms out there doing that!). This then frees us up to assist our clients with protecting their assets, assisting them in their wealth development strategy and act as a support for them in their business operations.

Another one of our clients has stated that he wished he had come to our firm when he graduated – he believes he would be in a far better position now if that was the case. We, of course, love hearing these stories.

We also deal very closely with the support staff for our medical clients - in many cases they have become our greatest advocates. We assist them in attending to the various aspects of their roles (where we can) and act as a resource for them in areas which they rarely touch on. One of our client's Office Managers was recently at a seminar where she said that she “felt sorry” for the other Office Managers who didn't have the opportunity of working with us! Another was rung by a potential client to discuss our services and spent 45 minutes telling them how much they enjoyed dealing with us.
